October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I wanted to do something different this month to raise breast cancer awareness and joined Design-her Gals and their Gal to Gal Walk.
Yesterday, they started the 2nd annual Gal to Gal Walk – a virtual walk benefiting the Gal to Gal Foundation, the non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for stage IV breast cancer patients and their families.
Gal to Gal Foundation honors the courage of those diagnosed with Stage IV, and forges a global community of caring, intelligent individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of others. In many cases, Gal to Gal Foundation is a voice for those who may loose the fight but whose courage can inspire us all.
You can participate in the Gal to Gal Walk by creating your virtual likeness online and then watching yourself take a virtual walk across America. The walk will commence in the Virtual World of Harvard Square in Boston, MA, and concludes on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, visiting 29 cities along the way.
You can be part of this virtual walk by visiting Gal to Gal Walk and with a $5 donation you can create your own virtual character to be part of this important mission to help stage IV breast cancer patients and their families. Design-her Gal’s goal is to have 1 million registered walkers during the month of October.
Or, you can join me at the Gal to Gal party I’ll be hosting in Hermosa Beach on October 25. To get your invitation, email [email protected] with Gal to Gal party in the subject line.
Celebrities participating in this effort include Kristin Chenoweth, Marg Helgenberger, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Molly Sims, Beth Ostrosky, Jean Chatzky, Lee Woodruff, Deidre Goodwin, Extra’s Dayna Devon, Redbook editor in chief Stacy Morrison and many, many more!
I am in – are you?
